"No dreamer is ever too small; no dream is ever too big!"
- Anonymous
A small-town girl bringing her big voice and big talent to the big city.
Anna Lynn Ferris seems to have been born with it. She started singing at the age of seven in Ohio with the bluegrass band "Giggle Grass," and started playing guitar not long afterward. At the age of thirteen, her family moved to Camden, South Carolina, where Anna Lynn played "literally hundreds of shows" over the next five years, honing her skills not only as a solo performer but as an actress, starring in numerous school theater productions.
By 2017, her talents had out-grown the small town. Her parents realized this as well, and the family moved to Nashville to take the dream to the next level. Anna Lynn wasted no time, immediately making the rounds and paying her dues, playing and singing at such legendary venues as "Tootsies" on historic Lower Broad. In August (shortly after her eighteenth birthday) she formed a band, "Ginger & the Snaps," playing an eclectic mix of originals and country/rock covers.
Later that month, Anna Lynn saw a Craigslist ad and auditioned for "DEAD GUY OPRY." Music-biz veteran and novelist Ty Hager, writer/producer of the first-of-its-kind musical project (which he adapted from his book), immediately recognized her talent and cast her as Angel, the show's female lead. "I was blown away," says Hager. "There's a ton of world-class talent in this town, but Anna Lynn really stands out. She's got it all."
"Her future's so bright she's gotta wear shades," he adds.
